I think you figured it out if you have read what I wrote, but I mostly only like talking about myself. Hehe.
So now, I want to talk about my experiences.
(Dang, Wait for You by Plave is playing in the background and this thing is addictive, I can't think)
Currently, I am working as a Medical Officer in Klinik Kesihatan. Didn't directly choose it cos I didn't think I'd end up here, I mean, working in KK is a dream cos of the work-life balance, so I didn't dare to dream it for myself yet. Not at this point at least.
But here I am, posted in this quite isolated part of Gua Musang, working for the people. Mostly laborers.
And I think I'm falling in love. I'm getting lulled by the monotonous pace, the working time, my free time at night..A routine.
Also I got to test myself. As a front-liner and the end-liner haha. I mean, earlier today I got to diagnose a twin pregnancy. A thing I thought is impossible for me to do cause, bruh, i mean me? Encountering a twin pregnancy? Is it my birthday or what?
Cos it reminded me of the time when my mom was pregnant, and a doctor in the KK told her that she might be having twins cos they heard 2 fetal echoes...But turns out it was not. The other Echo was just my mom's heartbeat transmitted.
From that moment I thought diagnosing a twin pregnancy is a difficult and important thing to do. Cos if you're right, management changes and if you're wrong the parents will be disappointed. And I wouldn't be given such a responsibility.
But there I was this morning.. showing my ultrasound finding to the mother, showing both of the fetal hearts to the mother, telling her I'm seeing twins. (After she complained that she paid for an ultrasound at a private clinic but the doctor claimed they couldn't see anything)
Though previously as an anaesthesia MO, I loved being able to insert CVLs, dialysis catheters, intubations, spinals, even ultrasound guided branula insertion ( I finally got the hang of it then got transferred to KK). Turns out being in KK shows that I'm nowhere near enough.
I guess in the end, wherever I end up working, I just want to function normally. Achieve the target. Just wanna be normal.
